历史，并非一条奔流向前的直线长河。它更像一张被反复折叠的羊皮纸，每一道褶皱里都隐藏着一个失落的王朝、一段被遗忘的迁徙、一个无声的许诺。在这张繁复的地图上，中东欧无疑是褶皱最深、纹理最密的区域。这片土地，是帝国更迭的舞台，是文明冲撞的十字路口。罗马的鹰旗、奥斯曼的新月、哈布斯堡的双头鹰与苏维埃的红星，都曾在此留下深刻的烙印。这些印记并非简单的彼此覆盖，而是相互挤压、渗透、缠绕，形成了层层叠叠的时间褶皱。过去从未真正消逝，它被折叠进了当下，沉淀为集体记忆的潜流与个体身份的基因。

History is not a straight river flowing forward. It is more like a piece of parchment that has been repeatedly folded, with each fold concealing a lost dynasty, a forgotten migration, and a silent promise. On this intricate map, Central and Eastern Europe is undoubtedly the region with the deepest wrinkles and the densest textures. This land is the stage for the rise and fall of empires and the crossroads where civilizations collide. The eagle flag of Rome, the crescent of the Ottoman Empire, the double-headed eagle of the Habsburgs and the red star of the Soviet Union all left their deep marks here. These marks do not simply cover each other, but rather squeeze, permeate and entwine with one another, forming layer upon layer of time wrinkles. The past has never truly vanished; it has been folded into the present, settling into the undercurrent of collective memory and the genes of individual identity.

       本次展览《多瑙河之东：一个平行的东方》，是一次邀请——邀请您与我们一同，小心翼翼地，展开这些时间的褶皱，一个被传统东西方二元对立叙事所遮蔽的世界，便显现出其独特的坐标。我们称之为“平行的东方”。

        展览将邀请中东欧多国30余位艺术家，如：匈牙利，阿尔巴尼亚，罗马尼亚，拉脱维亚和保加利亚等；70余件艺术作品，包括版画、织物与陶瓷。

This exhibition, “East of the Danube: A Parallel East”, is an invitation – inviting you to join us in carefully unfolding the folds of time. A world obscured by the traditional narrative of binary opposition between the East and the West thus reveals its unique coordinates. We call it “Parallel East”. 

The exhibition will invite over 30 artists from many Central and Eastern European countries, such as Hungary, Albania, Romania, Latvia and Bulgaria, etc. More than 70 artworks, including prints, fabrics and ceramics.
