Some of the artworks in the exhibition use objects in everyday life, while others create a strange virtual world, all of which are closely related to the lives of the public.
Preface
-
"Theater of Photosynthesis" showcases the artworks of young artists from the China Academy of Art. Through sculpture, fiber art, installations, video, and VR art, it blends fashion, design, and craftsmanship to explore the diverse facets of life in a playful yet thoughtful way.
The exhibition emphasizes ongoing growth and transformation, highlighting the relationships between elements in the space. In a postmodern context, the "theater" serves as a metaphor for understanding theworld, where life is seen as a performance with ever-changing meanings and identities. Combining the natural process of "photosynthesis" with the narrative power of "theater," the space becomes an organic, interactive ecosystem. Here, natural energy conversion takes on new meanings, showing how young artistsdraw inspiration from society, transforming daily experiences, social issues, and personal emotions into art. The artworks act like prisms, reflecting the complexities of contemporary society and the artists' insights on technology, environment, and identity. Through creative "photosynthesis," the growth of the space extends beyond physical expansion to includeevolving scenes, concepts, and people experiences.
The immersive, multisensory experience blurs the lines between viewer and artworks, fostering mutual influence and interaction. The exhibition invites people to explore personal and social connections, experience the growth of individual and collective consciousness, and engage in social dialogue, cultural reflection, and emotional expression, creating a dynamic sociallaboratory.
