Guo Yaoxian is a multidisciplinary artist and musician whose work spans installation art, music, sound art, and video. His creations often reflect his perspectives by exploring the delicate interactions between nature and technology, with themes that include cybernetics, systems theory, and complexity theory. His work provokes thought on the relationship between humanity and technology, or investigates insights regarding the individual’s role within collectives, society, and the broader dimensions of fate.

His work has been covered by various domestic and international media outlets, including VICE, Create Project, MANA, China Daily, CGTN, and CCTV. His exhibitions have been held at prestigious venues such as the National Museum of China, China Art Museum, China Sculpture Museum, China Design Museum, the China Academy of Art Museum, Zhejiang Art Museum, the Power Station of Art, West Bund Dome Art Center, McaM Museum, Times Art Museum, Big Roof Art Museum, and Yuan Art Museum. His works have participated in significant academic exhibitions, including the 14th National Art Exhibition in Beijing 2024, the inaugural China Digital Art Exhibition 2024, the 17th Shanghai Youth Art Exhibition 2023, the "Storing in Progress" Hangzhou Fiber Art Triennial 2022, the Asian Digital Art Exhibition 2021, the China-U.S. Fiber Art and Technology Exchange Exhibition 2020, the China Design Awards 2019, and the "Weaving Therefore I Am" Hangzhou Fiber Art Triennial 2016.
He has received numerous awards, including the 14th National Art Exhibition, the Lin Fengmian Creative Gold Award from the China Academy of Art, the Mingyuan Art Award at the 17th Shanghai Youth Art Exhibition, Second Prize at the iArt Youth Art Program for "Dystopia," the Merit Award at the China Design Awards, and First Prize at the Jingbo Town International Sculpture Art Festival. His works are held in collections at institutions such as the China Academy of Art Museum, the China Academy of Art, the China Sculpture Museum, and Mudanjiang Municipal Government, as well as by private collectors. He has collaborated with notable brands, including Lamborghini, Audi, and Robam.
